　　Red narrating: These walls are kind of funny like that. First you hate them, then you get used to them. Enough time passed, get so you depend on them. That's institutionalizing.

　　多少看来，“适应环境”并不总是好事。在逆境、不好的环境中把持住自我往往是第一重要。人言，既然无力去改变环境，那么就努力去适应环境；又说，不能让环境来适应你，而应让你去适应环境。现在看来，当环境不适应自己而又无力改变环境时，你还可独善其身，坚守自我而不被institutionalize。
